Dance Instructor, Jazz Tech, Jazz Choreography & Contemporary

Taylor started dancing at the young age of 2 and began her extensive training in genres such as jazz, ballet, modern, lyrical, tap, hip hop, contemporary and musical theatre. Throughout her competitive dance years she competed in many local competitions and has won numerous awards and scholarships. She performed at the provincial level in both the Intermediate and Senior divisions where she received honourable mention. Taylor has had the opportunity to travel to various studios around New York, Calgary AB and Los Angeles to work with world renowned choreographers: So You Think You Can Dance’s Travis Wall, Brian Friedman, Stacey Tookey and Ray Leeper, Kidd Pivot’s Jermaine Spivey, and Netherlands Dans Theatre’s Roger Van Der Poel just to name a few. She studied at the Joffrey School of Ballet in New York at the age of 14 and has gone back to New York since to train at Broadway Dance Centre. Recently she trained in Vancouver with The Source Dance Company under the direction of Joanne Pesusich and with ‘The Bridge Movement’ under the direction of Stacey Tookey. Taylor has performed at events such as The Langley Event Center Halftime Show and Vancouver Santa Claus Parade. She has appeared in music videos for up and coming artists Liz Longley and Michelle Creber. Frequently you can see Taylor taking classes at Harbour Dance Center in numerous genres. These opportunities have opened Taylor up to more concert and commercial dance styles and molded her into the dancer and teacher she is today.

Taylor’s love for dance shows in everything she does, Whether it’s in her teaching or performing. She has been teaching and choreographing for the past 9 years and has been awarded multiple choreography awards. Taylor loves to share her passion for dance with the younger generations and wishes to guide them into beautiful artists.
